Very fun weekend. Many thanks to all the friends and family who helped out. The Prevites took Jack down to a Dartmouth-Brown basketball game - he had a blast. And in another long-distance food drop, my colleagues Susan & Geoff descended on us and shared laughs and stories and glazed ham, mac n cheese, chocolate cake and apple pie! Yummylicious. And an extra bonus for Rachel - Susan brought her daughter Sarah.
Also this weeekend was the always-fun Beginning Years auction/wine-tasting. Especially fun this time because I didn't have to help put it on. :‑) We reconnected with many friends we haven't seen much this year since our "baby" Sammy has finished preschool and moved on to kindergarten.
So how did Becca fare with all this activity? Pretty well, although there was always an undercurrent of sleepiness. We were out at the auction until 10:30, and she still managed to coach DI the next day. After that though, she pretty much dropped like a rock. By 5pm Sunday she had had enough!
How about that weather though and the daylight savings? Pretty nice to be playing outside with no coat at 5:30pm! I even took down the Christmas lights. I know it's early, but what can I say, I'm a go-getter.
