oops sorry June

June got the shaft this year. No posts; too bad, June.

So the sleep thing. Results were "mild apnea" but nothing treatable. Her primary doc prescribed a very small dose of trazodone nightly, and it seems to be doing the trick. Becca, the walking medicine cabinet, adds another ingredient to the cocktail. But hey, if it works, it works!

Meanwhile, we got some sad news last month. Our awesome oncologist has been stolen away by another hospital! We were crushed, but they made an offer she couldn't refuse and she'll be working with one of the original developers of Herceptin, the miracle drug that Becca still takes and is largely responsible for Becca's success.

So this left us with a difficult decision. Follow our doc to Boston and lose the Needham staff (and close distance), or stay and have a new doc. Turns out though, we can do a little of both. We stay at Beth Israel with the new doc and keep our great nurses and the short trip to Needham for Herceptin every 3 weeks, and 1 or 2 times a year we can go in and see Dr. C. for a "second opinion" (read: a catch-up, check-in) at Mass General. Sounds like a plan.
