jan scan time

Happy New Year. If it's January it must be time for a CAT scan and a bone scan, right? Well here we are in the bone scan room, which is almost not large enough to hold the bone scan equipment. I think I'm getting my bones scanned too. The scan takes about a half hour, ploddingly proceeding over every millimeter of Becca's reclined body, about an inch away. She has to be still. I'm not sure if she's snoozing or not; I won't make any loud noises.

The CAT scan was on Monday, and what a trip it was. I can't be in the room for that, so imagine my surprise when an alarm went off and all the nurses (even the ones at the desk) run into the CAT scan room. Turns out Becca is now allergic to the iodine contrast they give you for the CAT scan. How many of these has she had?? Right as the scan was ending her throat started swelling up and they barely got a pan in front of her in time for her to expel the meager contents of her fasted stomach! So then she sits for a while and they take her IV out and the insufficient bandaid allows her to gush blood all over her shirt. Lovely. Seems like old times.

Anyway, results Jan 25 we think.
