scan day

Today we had the CAT and bone scans, which are seeing if the cancer has spread. Those scans yielded a place on her sternum that now needs to be biopsied. It would have been great if the scans were clean, but they were not. The bone biopsy is scheduled for the 9th. If it is positive for cancer, then there is no point in doing the lymph node biopsy (originally scheduled for the 10th) because we will have already found out that it has spread, and the ramifications for treatment are the same. So we want a negative result for the bone, then we want to do the lymph node and find negative there too.
