Follow up today with the radiation oncologist. She's pleased with Becca's recovery so far, and she will be ordering new scans 3 months from now. So there's your date, all you scan watchers: mid to late January.
We also met with the oncology social worker for the first time, who confirmed a lot of the things we're going through now and gave us some pointers for dealing with it. She has already had two bouts with breast cancer herself, so she knows what she's talking about!
One sobering thing we learned that I think we probably already suspected in the back of our minds is that eventually whatever treatment you are on stops working. It may be a long time before that happens, but It's just how cancer rolls. So then you try the next drug. But today the list of new drugs to try is long, and getting longer, so we're very lucky to be dealing with breast cancer now and not, say, 20 years ago.

This would be so much harder without you.
