We were back to the ER today... For Sammy! He had an accident with his scooter. Pretty sizable puncture wound in his inner thigh from falling on top of one of the scooter's clamps. It was gruesome but he was more stoic than you think for the entire ordeal. Our compliments to the Newton-Wellesley ER which once again amazed us. The Beth Israel Needham ER could learn a thing or two from them, but I suppose it is not a fair comparison, what with N-W's brand new ER with a focus on pediatric care.
Anyway, 10 stitches later the biggest problem we have is that Sammy is not allowed to run or jump for 10 days. Honestly. Have they MET him?! He does nothing but run and jump. We even made it into Boston to catch Stomp, which the kids gave me for my birthday. What a blast, and the kids loved it, too. If you have not seen this show and have even a lick of a liking for rhythm in you, you owe it to yourself to see it. Do it. It's only been around for like 50 years or something. What has taken you so long?
