da latest

Happy February everyone! This is the last cold month, right? Yikes.

Becca had the regularly-scheduled echo this morning and although her greatly expanded tissue expander is starting to get in the way of getting a good reading, they managed to get enough pictures to pronounce her heart still healthy, so that's great.

So then right to the Herceptin, and a quick pop-in from our oncologist who inquired about Becca's latest ailment, which is… shingles! Apparently it has nothing to do with her cancer, but it is nonetheless quite painful. Her primary got her on an anti-viral quickly so the worst is over and she's getting better, but I mean REALLY. Can't Becca get a free pass on your basic run-of-the-mill health problems after 2009?! I guess not.

It is also time to schedule the dreaded scans. Well, I'm dreading them. Becca wants me to be sedated for them. They'll probably happen in the next couple weeks.
