So we mentioned here before that Becca came home from the first chemo with a medicine cabinet full of prescriptions. About half of them were just-in-case medicines. Yesterday morning Becca got up and felt pretty good but then as the morning wore on her tummy was not feeling so good, and she didn't feel like eating anything at all. So this was really the first sign of nausea that couldn't be solved with some light food. What to do? Well there are those bottles that have been waiting for their moment. The Compazine has been on deck for a long time... Batter up! The effect was near instantaneous. So much so that we're thinking maybe the problem just went away quickly on its own. But if not, well yay Compazine! Heckuvvajob.
Lots of rests yesterday and same thing today. She's more frustrated than anything; she keeps expecting to be back to normal and then no, maybe some more lie-down. So be it. Hopefully the platelets are forcing the extra R&R so they can be geared up for their reading tomorrow. Everyone think high platelet counts. No, I'm not sure how to think that either. Just think of the words or something.

Ok, this may sound funny but your midwest second cousin (me) is a great believer in imagery. So, I close my eyes and visualize the platelets as bubbles and they are multiplying and bouncing all over your body...... As far as lumpy goes, I see him as a huge hunk of ice in the kitchen sink and with every treatment he starts melting and goes down the drain. I have a friend that also had a "lumpy" and she imagined it as a huge hunk of butter and each chemo treatment were heat waves aimed at it and it was melted away. Becca your great uncle Spike first told me about imagery when I was young (years ago) and since then I have done alot of reading about it and I somewhat practice Zen. I'm not trying to tell you what to do cause you know yourself better than anyone.... Most important just know that we love you and we are doing whatever we can from a distance.
