Just got back from visiting Becca. She was totally out of it but able to ask what time it was and if I worried too much (sheesh). I will be her only visitor until tomorrow at 3pm or thereabouts when she is moved from the PACU to a regular room. She is in for a long night with frequent checks by the nurses but, really, what is the night/day distinction to a girl who has to ask the time, specifically the am/pm part?
What a long day. But how cool it is that I have gotten to share part of yet another long surgical wait with an impossibly cute baby, this time by the name of Hannah (daughter of Emily & Brian). She came and dazzled us with wide toothless grins and matter-of-fact raspberry mouth noises. Thanks for fighting all that traffic, Em!
And I can't sign off without thanking the cast at home that jumped to our aid today. Thank you Renee, Mom, Cindy, Kari, and John. Couldn't have done it without ya.

This would be so much harder without you.
