Poor Becca. Still coughing and sneezing. I got the same bug but mine's on the way out. Hers is still here in force. She wants to rest but it's hard to fall asleep when you're hackin' away... Thank you Taxol. A nice parting shot. Just give us a good bone scan reading tomorrow too, would ya? then all is forgiven.
We are hopeful that Becca will be able to stay still for the scan. It's quite a long process and no coughing is allowed.
So on to food. Brittish handled Wednesday with aplomb, and I must think up a good award for her effort. How about Lowest-set Bar? Brittish prepared us for her contribution with comments like "now you'll see why my boys are so skinny" and "I recommend not eating breakfast or lunch on Wednesday. The hungrier you are, the better." and the coup de grâce, "Does your family have any bologna or dorito allergies?"
This is what it has become. Honestly people, this is not a competition. Just because I rave about other people's food on here doesn't mean yours sucks. Brittish's roast chicken and potatoes and corn-on-the-cob and more was great, and so was Rose's turkey-burger meatloaf. And as we take a break from the food delivering to eat our way through the freezers, we thank you, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Fun weekend. Gorgeous Saturday to watch Jack's game and play a parents-vs-kids scrimmage with Rachel's softball team. Then today we had a nice visit from the Hongs, who came down once again from New Hampshire.
On to Scan Week! Everyone think clean-scan thoughts...
