Gorgeous weekend in these parts, eh? Not much new going on with Becca but I should tell you that the temporary closing of the food train has had a strange effect on some of our close friends, who are just not content and therefore are finding other outlets.
For instance, Doffe is still doing weeding now and then. We come home and don't even know she's been here other than by the new flowers in a vase on the picnic table and all the dandelions from the terrace sent packing...
Or how about Siobhan and Sherri who called last week and said "Friday morning. Your house. Us. Cleaning." Our protesting was to no avail. They were coming and there was not much we could do about it.
And come Friday morning, clean they did. Now I should qualify this with the fact that we are not clean-house people. We are all perfectly content to live in squalor until it gets so bad that Becca and I collectively decide that we either have to move or get the cleaning gloves on, which always turn out to be very hard to find. So Siobhan and Sherri's visit was not bringing the house up to a standard that existed before this whole ordeal began. It was bringing the house to a much higher standard! Which is a very nice and unexpected thing. Very impressive, and once again we say you guys are too much, thank you thank you thank you.
