Well I managed to drag myself out of bed this morning even before Sammy was up. Made it in to Boston by 7:45 to do the first 8 miles of the walk before I had to get back to Medfield for the baseball parade. Was it worth it? Let me just say this. Boston-area readers, if you ever want to restore your faith in humanity just go to this event. Tons and tons and tons of people all there simply because they care. Over 44,000 people walked this year to raise over 4 MILLION dollars for food pantries across Massachusetts. Incredible.
The flip side of this of course was that Becca had the kids for the morning pictures and parade preparations. She lasted all the way through Jack fielding the last out in his victorious opening game, we came home at 2 or so, and up to bed she went for a solid 3 hours. Oh and much gratitude to Tobey for the delicious and hearty chicken noodle soup for the weekend. Even Rachel loved it, and that's saying something for a girl whose diet is 50% chicken nugget. :-)
