a fly in the ointment?

Becca has definitely caught something that is giving her a real sore throat. No fever, so we don't think it is anything to be worried about yet. However, if this were to develop further and her body really has to fight this thing, then her blood counts on Wednesday could push off the last dose of chemo a bit. We shall see. Think sore-throat-healing thoughts.

Fun weekend though. We played with Emily and Brian in Boston last night (and got drenched! anyone else get caught in that?) and then the Berglands tonight at their house. And Cathleen, who is an amazing chef and does not know when to stop, brought over an scrumptious marinated leg of lamb and roasted veggies and spinach risotto and chocolate-dipped strawberries and cupcakes. We feel so loved. Also Becca sang a Wolf song this morning for our annual Music Sunday at church (the sore throat was just a tickle at that point), and Jack lead an excellent recorder quartet.

Additional unexpected thanks to John Bergland, who, on hearing mowing was on the menu today brought over his own mower, joined me, and practically chopped my mowing time in half! Awesome.

Big week coming up, as you can see from the calendar below. Plastics and Onc and Surgeon, oh my! By the end of this week we should have a pretty good handle on the plan for surgery in June.
