So it turns out Wired Mommy was just delayed a bit. She was up until 3AM, slept until 9, and then raced through work at 100 miles per hour. Colleagues complained of being peppered with emails from her all before 10 AM. My my, what a weird schedule we are keeping. If my calculations are correct, she would have been right on schedule if she had been in Hawaii instead of here in good ole Eastern Standard Time. Eh well, keeps us on our toes I guess.
The last post may have left you wondering why Becca pushed it so hard this weekend... Because of the marathon, of course! Not that it consumes our weekend every year, but this year we had her beloved cousins Peter and Amanda up from Atlanta; Amanda here to run the Big Race. We had some great catch-up time with them in Boston at Em & Brian's on Saturday night and then out here in Medfield Sunday night. Then we trucked it into Wellesley Monday to cheer Amanda on at her halfway point. Very fun and it just made us wish we could see them more often.
Monday night Mom arrived with beef stew (thanks Mom!) and we were off to Cecilia, where Becca's old German Rep teacher from grad school banged our German into shape. And then I took off for a Hartford day Tuesday, with Emily graciously coming out after work to help with the evening dinner and kid wrangling.
Which brings us to chemo-day Wednesday. We had Renee there again keeping us company and this time with treats from Blue Moon. Due to the unexpected sleepiness of the day, we were very glad to have Meg here that night with delicious mac'n'cheese and cookies whose recipe I will be harassing her for in the near future. (honestly does anyone at all care about my weight here?? kidding!) Thanks Meg!
Phew. Now you're caught up. Becca promises to take it easier this week.
