2009: a bad year for Lumpy

We have named Becca's breast tumor Lumpy. This is definitely not going to be a good year for Lumpy. No more free passes. No that is not a cosmo we just injected, Lumpy. That is a special cocktail just for you. Think of it as a weight loss program. Then we have a special treat for you in May, but we'll keep that a secret. Don't want to spoil the surprise!

Seriously, everyone probably wants to know how Day 2 is going. Apart from a dry mouth this morning and a need to keep some food in her stomach or she gets "whoozy", she seems completely normal. We think we might need to go back to the hospital and make sure the drugs didn't leak out onto the floor by accident. She has tons of anti-nausea meds and then optional ones she hasn't taken yet to help get to sleep or fight nausea even more.

So, so far so good. We know this is probably just a little honeymoon before it hits her, but every day we get by is another day into the first week, which is supposed to be the worst. She gets a shot tomorrow morning to juice her white-cell count, and then the second week is supposed to be better before we go in for round 2.
